City works on lighting, but no city-wide assessment

Bob Buckhorn promised a city-wide lighting assessment that would determine if and when city lights need to be updated. That assessment has yet to start, though.

In an interview with PolitiFact Florida, Buckhorn said the city is staying on top of complaints about street lights that either don't work or have other problems, such as plants growing over the lights. The city has worked with TECO, the Tampa electric utility, on a few neighborhood projects involving street lighting.

But a city-wide assessment has not been done, nor has one started. So we rate this promise Stalled.
